Boot Canyon Advisory LLC ("Boot Canyon," "we," "us") builds advisory relationships and software products, including the Duane iOS app. We care about privacy and collect as little personal information as possible. This policy explains what we do and don't do with information across this website and our apps.
This website
We don't run advertising trackers on bootcanyon.com and we don't sell personal information. Our hosting provider may record standard, non-identifying server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to operate and secure the site. If you email us, we use your message only to respond to you.
Our apps (including Duane)
Duane uses your device's location to detect nearby Texas historical markers as you drive. Location is processed on your device to trigger narrations — we do not collect, store, or sell your location history. Duane does not require an account, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.
Audio narrations are delivered from our content-delivery network, which processes standard technical request data (such as IP address) for the sole purpose of streaming the audio to you.
Diagnostics
We may use aggregate, non-identifying diagnostics and crash reports (for example, those provided by Apple) to keep our apps reliable and improve them. This information is not used to identify you.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of reputable providers to operate our website and apps (for example, web hosting and cloud storage / content delivery). These providers process data only as needed to provide their services to us.
Children
Our website and apps are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You can grant or revoke location access for Duane at any time in your iOS Settings. Disabling location will stop automatic marker narration.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
